Deadline to Have Your Say on Cannabis Regulation Approaching

There’s just one week left to have your say on the future of cannabis regulation in B.C.

The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General says since the launch of the public engagement period on Sept. 25 more than 30,000 British Columbians from around the province have completed the survey and shared their feedback.

“The legalization of non-medical cannabis will be a significant change for Canadians – and for British Columbia,” said Minister Mike Farnsworth.

“We want to hear from people throughout the province so that we can develop a regulatory framework that maximizes public health and safety and is built for British Columbians, by British Columbians.”

The consultation website will close at 4 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2017.

The federal government has imposed legislation to have recreational marijuana legalized across the country by July 2018.
