5 Stand Shotgun Shoot to Benefit Wildfire Relief Fund

The Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association is doing their part to help raise money for local charities that were affected by the wildfires this past summer.

This Sunday from 10am-4pm they’ll be holding a five-stand shotgun shoot at their clubhouse on Bond Lake Road and Co-ordinator Barry Jenkins is hoping to see a lot of people come out and take part in it.

“The most successful shoots we’ve had recently have been the 5 stand we’ve held last spring and everybody came and shot it and had fun. On a good day we’ll get 30 people but hopefully maybe for the charity shoot maybe we’ll get more.”

Jenkins said that in addition to the club members who always come out to these five stand shotgun shoots everyone is welcome to give it a try as well.

“The fires kind of messed up our shooting schedule for the summer so when it came along to try and figure out how we could get a shoot in we just said well we haven’t had a charity shoot for a long time and it’s a good time to put together one for the wildfire relief fund.”

For further information about Sunday’s 5 Stand Shotgun Shoot in which lunch will be included you can contact Jenkins at 250-392-6750.
