Photo Contest Features Two Quesnel Winners

There were a couple of Quesnel winners in the BC Council of Forest Industries 2017 Forestry Photo Contest !

Nina Laudan, the Vice President of Public Affairs with COFI, explains why they have it…

“We started it last year, really to have member companies, people who work in the industry, communities, actually anybody who enjoys our forest in BC, to take some photos. We all know we see some amazing sites when we are out and about on the weekend and at work.”

Lauden says they want to encourage people to capture some of those sites.

There are three categories…where you live, where you work and how you play.

Eric Carriere was a winner in the “live” category while Rahul Ravin, also from Quesnel, was first in the “play” category.

Besides receiving some prizes, their photos will also appear in the September-October edition of the Canadian Forest Industry magazine.

There were 106 submissions in total.
