Tim Hortons Donating $4500 to 100 Mile Food Bank

The 100 Mile Food Bank will be receiving a hefty donation from Tim Hortons thanks to a nation-wide program.

Tim Hortons will be donating $4500 dollars in part of their Smile Cookie Campaign, where cookies are sold for $1 with 100% of the proceeds going towards local charities.

Tim Hortons Owner Barb McPhail explains how the community helps out.

“Our schools are major contributors, the schools all get on board and order huge amounts and we usually sell out of cookies every year.”

McPhail says this is her stores 15th year participating in the program, with the last 8 of them working with the 100 Mile Food Bank.
