Trial Date To Be Set For Woman Charged With Murder In Bella Coola

A trial date will be set next month for a 23-year old woman, charged in connection with a homicide in Bella Coola.

January Claire Longe, facing one count of Second Degree Murder, will be back in Supreme Court in Vancouver on November 22nd.

She was ordered to stand trial last month following a Preliminary Inquiry.

Longe is charged in connection with the death of a 25-year old man in November of 2016.

RCMP have not said how the man died.

Police will only say that they responded to an altercation outside a local residence and upon arrival they found an unconscious and unresponsive male.
