100 Mile Mayor Calls For Action After Promising UBCM Convention

BC Premier John Horgan is planning a trip to the Cariboo after meeting with Representatives from the area at the 2017 UBCM Convention.

100 Mile House Mayor Mitch Campsall details the week…

“It was actually a really good UBCM this year, as long as all the promises that were made come true – even half the promises would be pretty good for us.”

Campsall says some of the issues discussed were cleaning up the burnt logs from the wildfires, which in turn will make tourism more safe, and to not waste time with studies.

“We need to concentrate now, not 2 to 3 months, but now is the time they start doing the booking from Europe and around the World to come to BC. Need to make sure our community, the Cariboo, is a safe place to come to.”

Campsall also received a new title at the UBCM Convention and is now the new Representative for Small Communities.
