100 Mile Mayor Hopes to Get Use Out of Burnt Logs

The 100 Mile House Mayor is optimistic after having a good week down in Vancouver for the UBCM Convention.

One of the main topics was with the Deputy Forest Minister and what to do with the “black logs”.

Mayor Mitch Campsall explains

“The issue and timeline we have to use them. The saw mills have made it clear that we will be lucky if they last 3 years. So we’ll get 2 years and then see what we get out of the 3rd.”

The Mayor says cleaning up the burnt logs will make the Cariboo a safer place for tourists as the year moves on.

Campsall says the highest priority in any situation moving forward is to skip any time wasting studies and get to action.
