Residents that have been affected by the Elephant Hill wildfire now have a place to drop off their burnt debris and start the clean-up process.
Graham Casselman, an Environmental Technician with the TNRD, explains where the drop off site is.
“The location is about 3.2 km east along North Bonaparte Road, from the Young Lake Road turnoff.”
Casselman says this is a long term temporary project that will run well into 2019.
This site will be for burnt tree, brush and branch disposal only and any construction, demolition or yard waste from the wildfires will go to the 70 Mile Eco Depot.
