Quesnel Fire Department Finds Dust But No Smoke

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department was called to an apartment complex in West Quesnel this morning.

But as Fire Prevention Officer Ron Richert explains, there was no fire…

“Upon arrival no smoke showing but we noticed just in the hallway there was an electric baseboard heater that had quite a bit of dust on it so we think that set off the smoke detector so we had a no fire situation.”

Richert says the call was at around 9-45 to the Aspen Heights apartments.

He says they quickly checked the building and were only on scene for 10 to 15 minutes.
