Two Cariboo teams win medals at minor hockey provincials

The Williams Lake U18 tier 2 hockey team brought home the silver medal from their provincial championship in Kelowna.

They had their sights set on gold and led 3-2 late in the third period, but Vancouver tied it up and then won it 4-3 in overtime.

Williams Lake was trying to become the first Cariboo team to win the title since Quesnel did it back in 2017-2018.

Lorne Moe had two goals for the Lake City.

Williams Lake made it into the final with a convincing 6-2 win over Vernon in the semi-finals.
