Parents can rest assured that there will be no school closures for School District 27 as the District loses $800,000 in provincial funding for the 2015-2016 school year.
Tanya Guenther, Chair of the School District’s Board of Education says she is pleased with the motion that passed unanimously at a closed meeting Tuesday night.
Two schools in 100 Mile House closed and two schools in Williams Lake Schools merged in June of 2013.
School District 27 says some other options they will be considering as they continue to plan their budget for 2015-216 include department cuts, administration cuts, and reducing energy use.
