Vehicle fire being treated as arson

Williams Lake RCMP is treating a vehicle fire on 9th Avenue as arson.

Williams Lake Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Rob Warnock says they arrived on scene at approximately 1:20 and worked on extinguishing the fully engulfed vehicle for half an hour.

The vehicle is a complete loss with the front of the house also sustaining some damage.

RCMP say a second vehicle within the same area was discovered to have had the passenger door open with the seat on fire.

RCMP continue to investigate.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
