The accused in two robberies that occurred at a convenience store in Quesnel on Wednesday has now appeared in court.
20-year old Devlin Cassel is facing two counts of Robbery and will be back in court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
Quesnel RCMP was called out to Mac’s store on Anderson Drive at around 1 a.m. after receiving a report that a female, brandishing a knife, had robbed the store of a small amount of cash.
The suspect fled the scene and although a search was conducted she was not located.
Police then received another call just before 3 a.m. to the same location for yet another robbery.
A suspect, thanks to a detailed description from a couple of witnesses including the clerk, was then arrested later that morning at a residence on Dougherty Drive.
