Emergency crews from 100 Mile House and Lac La Lache responded to a collision on Highway 97 just south of Lac La Hache Provincial Campsite at 11:30 Thursday night.
The collision involved a northbound tractor-trailer unit and a southbound pick-up truck.
Rescue crews were able to extract a female passenger who was taken to Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer unit was not injured.
Highway 97 continues to be closed while a traffic reconstructionist conducts the investigation of the
scene.
