The BC Arts Council through the Provincial Government is funding a couple of local organizations with operating grants.
The Williams Lake Community Arts Council has received just over $5,500 and the Central Interior Regional Arts Council has received $6,000.
Thomas Schoen, the Executive Director of the Central Interior Regional Arts Council, says the money will be used to provide administrative support to local community arts councils.
The Central Interior Regional Arts Council covers a vast area that includes Quesnel, Williams Lake, and 100 Mile House as well as Wells, Prince George, Burns Lake and even stretches out to Horsefly.
