Quesnel RCMP Arrest Prolific Offenders

Within 48 hours Quesnel RCMP arrested 3 prolific offenders.

On Friday, RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle near Garner Road.

“The description of the vehicle provided was similar to a vehicle associated to a male, well known to the police,” said North District Media Relations Corporal Madonna Saunderson.

A road block was set up in the area and police located the vehicle a short time later.

The two men in the vehicle who are well known to the police, were on conditions from a previous matter. Police discovered property in the vehicle that they believe had been stolen.

Both men were arrested and held in custody for a future court appearance.

On Thursday RCMP arrested a prolific offender with an outstanding warrant from an incident in 2016.

Police had observed the offender running from a convenience store on Anderson Drive and after a brief foot pursuit the individual was located by police on Doherty Drive and arrested.

It is alleged the suspect had taken a number of pre-paid Visa Cards, but as they were not activated they had no value.

The suspect is being held in police custody on the matter of the outstanding warrant.
