Armed robber apprehended

Charges are pending following two armed robberies in Quesnel.

RCMP Sgt. Darren Dodge says they were called to a convenience store on Anderson Drive at around 1 o’clock Wednesday morning after receiving a report that a lone female had brandished a knife and robbed the store of a small amount of cash.

Dodge says the suspect fled the scene and although a search was conducted she was not located.

He says they were called back to the same store just before 3 a.m. where another robbery had occurred.

Dodge says police then attended a residence on Dougherty Drive where they made an arrest.

A 20-year old female is now in custody and RCMP are recommending charges of Robbery and Wearing a Disguise with the Intent of Committing and Indictable Offence.
