Crews Continue Fight Against Aggressive Fires

BC Wildfire Service says Saturday was another busy day with 96 confirmed fires.

In the Cariboo Fire Centre there are 7 wildfires of note-wildfires which are highly visible or which pose a potential threat to public safety.

As of 9 pm, Saturday, July 8 the 150 Mile fire was an estimated 2,500 hectares, the Dragon Mountain Fire 1,500 hectares, Gustafson Fire (west of 100 Mile House) 3,200 Hectares, Hanceville Fires 100,000 hectares, Soda Creek and Spokin Lake Rd. Fires both 100 hectares and the Wildwood Fire at an estimated 2,000 hectares.

All of the fires as of that time were 0% contained.

Additional resources from across Canada were en route as personnel and resources continue to work to keep the province safe.
