City receives cycling funding

The City of Williams Lake is one of 20 communities throughout the province that will be receiving more than $3.6 million dollars in BikeBC funding this year to expand and build cycling lanes, trails, and paths.

Mayor Walt Cobb says the $142,498 funding for Highway 97/Toop Road and Carson Drive, will be of significance to the Lake City.

Cobb says the trail will likely not be complete until 2017.
