Coroners Service calls for review of graduated licensing program

The BC Coroners Service is calling for a review of the graduated licensing program for new drivers after releasing their report on youth driver deaths.

Michael Egilson, Chair of the Child  Death Review Unit says although the numbers of youth driver fatalities have been dropping, the graduated licensing program which was last reviewed in 2006 will be key in further lowering those numbers of fatalities.

Egilson says although he did not have any numbers for the Cariboo, the Interior and Northern Region were flagged as the having highest number of youth driver fatalities in the province from 2004-2013.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
