Finance committee recommends early budget approval for asphalt recycling machine

An asphalt recycling machine may be getting early budget approval from the City of Williams Lake.

Gary Muraca, Director of Municipal Services says if Councillors give the green light to the decision at the next regular city council meeting (Feb. 24th), the new machine would be of great significance to City crews who are currently working on potholes.

Muraca says if the recommendation does not receive early budget approval the new asphalt recycling machine which would replace the current 21-year-old machine will not be ready for use until the fall.

The asphalt recycling machine is budgeted at approximately $100,000 with an estimated cost of $70,000.
