Crews Respond to Wildfire West of 100 Mile House

A wildfire broke out this morning west of 100 Mile House.

BC Wildfire Service Information Officer, Natasha Broznitsky says at this time the fire is estimated to be 2 hectares in size.

“There are no structures threatened at this time. Air tankers, 2 helicopters, and BC Wildfire Service Officer are onsite. 25 firefighters are en route.”

Broznitsky says smoke from the blaze near the Gustafson North Forest Service Rd is visible from 100 Mile House and Hwy 97.

Crews from the 100 Mile House Fire Rescue are also on scene.
