Cariboo Chilcotin Coast display headed to 2015 Canada Winter Games

Tourism and development opportunities within the Cariboo region will be highlighted at the Canada Winter Games, with the grand opening of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Display tomorrow morning.

Al Richmond, Chair of the Cariboo Regional District says although there were some challenges and concerns in finding accommodations for representing officials, things were able to come together and make a positive turn around.

Richmond adds that quite a bit of work went into getting the display prepared.

The display which will feature an indoor area including a fun photo booth with a Cariboo Chilcotin backdrop and items found in and around the region opens at 10.

The Cariboo Regional District will be the first municipality featured in the three-day activations of the display, with Williams Lake (Feb. 17-19), 100 Mile House (Feb. 20-22), Quesnel (Feb 23-25), and Wells (Feb 26-28).

The display will be located within the Northern BC Tourism Pavilion in the parking lot of the Four Seasons leisure pool.
