This year’s first 4 directions festival in Williams Lake was a success.
Executive Director of the Downtown Williams Lake BIA, Kate Lines says it went very well.
“We had a huge number of people; I wish I could tell you how many,” she says.
“But just the sense, just the feeling that there were crowds of people moving through the streets downtown was a wonderful feeling and really gratifying after all the planning and all the hard from this office but the community as a whole.”
Lines adds although she hasn’t really had a chance to speak with everyone being her first day back on the job today following the Festival, she has had a lot of encouraging emails coming through.
“In about a month I think I’ll have a good picture of exactly how it went and how we can improve it, what was awesome and what we don’t need to change at all.”
The 4 four Directions Festival took place in downtown Williams Lake July 1st following the Daybreak Rotary’s Stampede Parade.
