Clinton RCMP have confirmed that there was a fatal accident in the South Cariboo over the weekend.
Corporal Curtis Davis says they were called to Bullock Lake Road, about a mile south of 83-Mile, on Sunday night at around 8-40 p.m.
He says their investigation revealed that there was a collision between two dirt bikes on a gravel road and that one of the riders, a 31-year old male from Mission, was killed.
Davis says another man, also 31 and from Mission, suffered a head injury and a broken wrist and was taken to hospital in 100 Mile House and was later transferred to Kamloops.
He says neither man was wearing a helmet.
Davis says they were part of a group that was camping in the area.
100 Mile House RCMP provided assistance a Collision Reconstructionist from Williams Lake was also called to the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
