cariboo wildfires update

BC Wildfire Service crews continue to fight wildfires in the Cariboo.

Fire Information Officer Natasha Broznitsky has this update on the one’s in Lac La Hache and Tatla Lake.

“The fire burning approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Lac La Hache is still being held, it is 25 point 9 hectares in size. The fire located approximately 20 kilometres west of Tatla Lake is still under control and the cause of that one is still under investigation”.

Broznitsky say’s the status of other wildfire 20 kilometres southeast of Alexis Creek near Raven Lake has changed from out of control to being held with 55 fire fighters, three helicopters and heavy equipment working on it today.
