Quesnel Man Ordered To Stand Trial In Alleged Shooting Incident

49-year old Kelvin Alphonse is due back in Supreme Court in Quesnel on October 16th.

He is facing six charges in total including Pointing a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Unlawfully Discharging a Firearm and DIscharging a Firearm With Intent to Wound or Disfigure.

The charges are in connection with an alleged incident in January of of 2016.

RCMP, responding to a complaint of shots fired on the Red Bluff reserve, say they located a 38-year old female who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transferred to hospital in Vancouver.

Police said at time that they believed that the two people involved knew eachother.
