Deadline For Youth to take part in Chinese Bridge Summer Camp Approaching

Some lucky Cariboo students could be spending a couple of weeks at a very special summer camp.

The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is an opportunity for Canadian youth ages 14 to 18 to learn about Chinese culture will serving as ambassadors raising awareness of Canadian Culture.

The Chinese host school will cover all the costs for the students while they’re in Suzhou City excluding their flights, accommodation, and meals to and from China, personal travel insurance, visa application fees and all other personal expenses.

“It will be interesting for our kids to experience their class sizes and have some interaction with another country, and perhaps develop some friendships,” says chair Al Richmond of some the advantages the camp will offer.

Interested students are encouraged to talk to their school about the opportunity and have until June 30 to apply.

The Camp runs from August 13-27, 2017, in Suzhou City, Anhui Province.
