Quesnel RCMP are on the lookout for a missing man.
Just before 2 am on Saturday morning, police were told 32-year old Quesnel resident Terrance Paul Jr. was walking with friends along the train bridge when he later fell into the Quesnel River where it meets the Fraser River.
Search and Rescue were notified and an RCMP helicopter was called in to assist but initial efforts have come up empty.
Search efforts were hampered today, June 26 due to the condition of the river.
“The rapidly moving water has prevented search and rescue efforts in the river. Ground search along the river bank has also been stopped due to the dangerously high water levels,” said North District Media Relations Corporal Madonna Saunderson.
