Timber Kings unveil and install wooden torch in City of Prince George

The City of Prince George received a wooden Winter Games torch from none other than the Williams Lake-based Pioneer Log Homes, the focus of the HGTV series Timber Kings on Friday.

Andre Chevigny, General Manager of Pioneer Log Homes, shares with us how the wooden cauldron was constructed and installed.

Chevigny says the wooden legacy, which will remain a permanent fixture in the City’s downtown, has significant meaning for not only the Timber Kings but also the Cariboo Region.

The wooden cauldron which will be lit from Feb.13 until Mar. 1, was created from a 400 to 500-year-old cedar stump found out by Bella Coola.
