The Transportation Safety Board of Canada continues to investigate a small plane crash that occurred at the Flying U Ranch at North Green Lake Tuesday morning before 11.
Thomas McKibbon is a regional senior investigator.
“A small aircraft was approaching the strip…Right now it appears that there maybe some weather involved; some changing winds and he didn’t clear the trees and collided with the terrain.”
McKibbon says the pilot and one passenger both sustained some injuries.
“Most certainly the plane is not going to fly again for the foreseeable future unless it can be rebuilt…Pictures are just coming. Definitely enough damage to engine components, wings, structure. It’s a pretty good crash.”
