A press conference has been called in Quesnel for what is being described as “a hockey announcement.”
The staff of the Kamloops Storm, part of the Kootenay International Junior B Hockey League, will be on hand at the Tower Inn.
It will take place in the banquet room at 4 o’clock.
Matt Kolle is part of a group that is trying to bring a team to Quesnel.
He says they hope that the community will attend…
“One, it’s a press announcement but it’s really about an opportunity for q and the community itself and we really want the hockey minded people in the area to come. Come and have a conversation with us, hear our announcement, give us feedback, give us ideas that they have, be a part of it all.”
Both Quesnel and Williams Lake have shown an interest in getting a KIJHL team.
