Child Development Center receives community gaming funds

The Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Center was presented with a cheque of $88,000 last week by local MLA Donna Barnett.

Nancy Gale, Executive Director of the Child Development Center, says they were quite excited to be receiving the funds.

“This continues the support we’ve been receiving from the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch. We’ve been receiving community gaming grants for a significant period of time and it allows us to support four programs that we have delivered in the community for some time.”

Gale says the programs include the Child Development Center’s youth outreach programs, as well as the annual Yuletide Dinner and Christmas Wish Breakfast.
