Scale at Central Cariboo Transfer Station to undergo Repairs

Extended delays are expected as the Central Cariboo Transfer Station scale will be undergoing repairs today (Wednesday, June 14).

Tera Grady is the supervisor of solid waste management with the Cariboo Regional District (CRD).

“Our scale site is about 20 years old and the circuit boards; there’s 4 of them, they’re no longer compatible with the new readout that we just had installed so we just need to make some new upgrades.”

Grady says they are hopeful that the repairs will only take up today and that they’ll be back to normal operations by tomorrow.

Anyone requiring further information can contact the CRD’s Environmental Services Department at 250-392-3351.
