Timeline laid out for pool renovations

Coming up with the design in 2015, construction in 2016, and then an opening in 2017.

That is the timeline released today for renovations at the Sam Ketcham Pool in Williams Lake.

Central Cariboo residents gave the Cariboo Regional District the green light to borrow up to $10-million for the project in a referendum back in November.

Joan Sorley, Co-Chair of the Central Cariboo Joint Committee, says they have just established a working group…

Sorley says the project, for those who don’t know, will involve replacing the current pool with a new one as well as building a leisure pool and possibly a water slide.

She says the CRD and the City of Williams Lake are also pursuing other sources of funding to try and reduce the amount of the money that they would have to borrow.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
