Bylaw Enforcement Officers make move to Fire Hall

The Williams Lake Fire Hall is now home to the City’s two Bylaw Enforcement Officers.

Fire Chief Des Webster, says the City’s decision to relocate the bylaw services was a good, if not logical choice.

“By law department works quite closely with us through our fire Inspector.”

“It just made sense to have them working in the same building so they’re close whenever they have issues to deal with jointly.”

Webster says the process for reporting a bylaw complaint has not changed although individuals can now file their complaint in person at the Fire Hall.

The City of Williams Lake says the decision to relocate the City’s bylaw services at the Fire Hall was in part of their restructuring process.
