The Quesnel School District has begun the process of creating what is called a Schools Development Strategy.
Cornerstone Planning Group has begun it’s work that will end with a final report in December.
Tony Goulet, the Chair of Quesnel’s Board of Education, says they will conduct a comprehensive review of the District including enrollment data from the present and the past, updated building condition assessments, transportation requirements, financial reports and current partnerships to name just some.
Goulet says while school closures are a possibility nothing has been decided yet and he says they may even take another year to come up with a strategy if they need more time.
