Quesnel RCMP are asking the public to respect road closure signs after an incident involving a vehicle Friday afternoon.
Sargeant Darren Dodge explains…
“On the Johnston Loop there just underneath the train bridge, the road is closed right now because of water on the road and the RCMP had to respond now to a vehicle that is stuck in the water. We are waiting for a tow truck.”
Dodge says the only reason vehicles can still access that road is so people can get to Search and Rescue and Ceal Tingley Park before the area that floods every year.
He says the water has went up quite a bit since yesterday and he urges motorists to obey the signs adding that this is a waste of police resources.
