Cariboo Pulp and Paper, the site of a fire this morning, is expected to be back up and running tonight.
General Manager Bruce Eby says they are in the process of restarting the mill right now.
He says they are still accessing the damage and that the cause remains under investigation.
Eby says he was very pleased with what he called “the excellent response” of both their own fire crews and the Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire crews were called to the mill at around 7-30 this morning for a fire in the boiler room.
The mill was evacuated as a precaution and no one was hurt.
