Bike to Work and School Week continues in the Lakecity with many businesses offering deals to get the community pedaling and riders to stay fueled.
Sue Lachance is with New World Coffee and Tea House on Oliver Street.
“I think Bike to Work Week is an excellent way for people to get out and exercise and participate in programs offered in the community.”
Lachance says this marks the second year that they are supporting the Week and that they’re offering free coffee in the morning to those who come on down on their bike.
Bike to Work Week began in Victoria in 1995 and in 2016 had more than 52 communities across the province including Williams Lake taking part.
Further information on Bike to Work Week in Williams Lake can be found on their Facebook page.
