School District 27 will be holding a public preliminary budget presentation in Williams Lake on Tuesday.
Tanya Guenther is the chair of the Board of Education.
“At our April meeting, we had the initial presentation at our meeting in 100 Mile House. So we will have half an hour allotted prior to the start of the open board meeting and that will allow for some questions and feedback to be provided during that time.”
Guenther says that the budget is looking favorable and that program cuts and school closures were not on the table for discussion.
“Our District staff have done an amazing job of being able to find the efficiencies within the budget,” she adds.
The presentation starts at 6:30 pm at the school board office located at 350 North 2nd Avenue.
The Board will be looking at officially adopting the budget on June 13th.
