7th season of Operation Red Nose a success!

Four local Williams Lake youth clubs were presented funds last week that was raised from a 7th successful season of Operation Red Nose.

Dave Dickson, with Community Safety for the City of Williams Lake, says Operation Red Nose was not only about giving a safe ride home but also giving an opportunity to support youth.

 

Chad Webb, Head Coach of the Williams Lake Blue Fins Club says they are very thankful for the $2500 they received.

 

The Williams Lake Skating Club, Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddle Society, and the Cariboo Chilcotin Gymnastics Club also received $2500 each from Operation Red Nose.

A local youth volunteer meanwhile received a Certificate of Appreciation for his commitment and dedication to the 2014 Operation Red Nose.

Christopher Dow, says the experience was a fantastic and meant quite a bit to him.

 

Dow had volunteered 6 out of the 11 nights Operation Red Nose ran in Williams Lake.

Bob MacIntosh, Chair Person for Citizen on Patrol says it was great to see a local youth participate in such a program as Operation Red Nose.

 

Plans are already in the works for the 2015 season of Operation Red Nose.
