A partnership between the District of 100 Mile House and the Fraser Basin Council has led to the release of the Miles Ahead Sustainability Plan.
The sustainability plan was formed from discussions about strategies for encouraging sustainable development in the South Cariboo.
Mayor Mitch Campsall says it’s a good idea and notes that sustainability is coming up more and more often.
“Sustainable living is very vital and very important in 100 Mile House; even in the election it came up.”
Community input helped form the plan with comments on economic stability, housing, senior’s needs, recreation, and environmental management.
