Committee planning for City's 1st Pride Parade

Plans are in the works for Quesnel’s 1st Gay Pride Parade.

The Committee behind the parade has asked the City for a road closure between 2 and 5 o’clock on Saturday, May 30th.

The parade, which will not feature any floats or vehicles involved, with participants on foot is anticipated to end with a celebration at Lebourdais Park.

City Council has referred the request to staff to work out details such as making sure the RCMP is aware of it as well as the Downtown Business Association as a road closure could affect their businesses.
