A store clerk was lunged at with a broken beer bottle following a robbery at the Overlander Beer and Wine Store in Williams Lake yesterday evening.
RCMP say they responded to a panic alarm when a physical confrontation ensued from the store’s parking lot between a store clerk and two First Nations suspects who stole a case of beer.
The clerk was not injured.
RCMP says both suspects, age 28 and from the Williams Lake area are known to police.
The one suspect who was released is to appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court on February 11, with the other suspect, who remains in custody, to appear before a judge later today.
