Duane Peter Christopher received a 12-month conditional sentence and 12 months probation after pleading guilty to a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Two other charges, Break and Enter and Uttering Threats, were stayed.
100 Mile House RCMP were called to the reserve in April of last year.
Police say a male was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries and a suspect was arrested at the scene.
