Northern Health announced Wednesday that throughout December there was an error in pre-cleaning endoscopy equipment at the UNBC Hospital in Prince George.
Dr. Ronald Chapman says the issue has been corrected and there haven’t been any reported infections stemming from the issues.
Northern Health officials feel that the chances for infection are very low, but that the need for transparency outweighs the potential public reaction.
Over 10,000 patients during that time had been notified.
