North Cariboo Planning Committee approves funding requests

The North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee has approved a couple of funding requests.

CRD Vice-Chair Ted Armstrong, also the Director for Area A, says they are recommending to the Cariboo Regional District Board that the Bouchie Lake Recreation Commission receive $80,000 and the Alex Fraser Park Society an additional $65,000.

Armstrong says the Bouchie Lake project is to replace the front steps and lobby while the Alex Fraser project is to build a new cattle pen at the rodeo grounds.

He says he was anxious to get both projects going and adds that both projects are badly needed.

The Bouchie Lake Hall will soon have an accessible ramp in the front and the current cattle pens at Ale Fraser Park are so saturated in manure that they are no longer acceptable for feeding in.
