VP of Corporate Affairs: Application for restart is in as Mt. Polley continues to make progress

Mt Polley is making progress, according to Imperial Metals Vice President of Corporate Affairs.

Steve Robertson, shares with us some of the remediation work that has been completed since we last spoke with him in December.

Robertson says Mt Polley is now working to create a new channel as an outlet from Polley Lake at Upper Hazeltine Creek and placing material on the breach site.

He says that the company is feeling optimistic about 2015.

An application for an early restart was submitted to the provincial government on Monday, says Robertson.

Robertson says the Springer Pit would be used to deposit up to 4 million tonnes of tailings and anticipates it will be at least 30 days before their application is processed.
