The power engineering program at the College of New Caledonia in Quesnel is getting a major boost.
Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes delivered the good news this morning…
“Today our government is pleased to provide 3.8 million dollars towards purchasing the new steam boiler and expansion for Quesnel campus.”
The new boiler and equipment will allow students to take their class three in Quesnel.
CNC President Henry Reiser says the expansion will also mean that 32 students, up from 16, will eventually be able to take steam engineering in Quesnel.
The new boiler will be three times the size of the current boiler at the campus.
